Robert G. Riley, Jr. President & CEO
Robert (Bob) G. Riley, Jr., has worked for more than 30 years in the fats and oil processing industry in many capacities. He has been involved in domestic and international sales and marketing, laboratory supervision, research and development, as well as executive and corporate management.
In 1986, Bob purchased Feed Energy Company and immediately began the process of building a company with products developed on sound research and science. The success of the company is a testament to that strategic approach. In 2006 he formed FEC Solutions to pursue opportunities within the ethanol and biodiesel industries.
Bob is active in many professional, state and community organizations including a 2007 gubernatorial appointment to the Iowa Department of Economic Development; the American Feed Industry Association, where he is on the Information Technology Committee; election to the Board of Directors of the Iowa Poultry Association; Trustee Chairman of The Nature Conservancy in Iowa; and member of the Board of Directors, Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines. With a unique background and lifelong interests in both agriculture and the environment, Bob frequently speaks to groups presenting a broad and balanced business perspective. Most recently he has led discussions about the impact of the booming biofuels industry on the food supply.
Bob is a Des Moines native and enjoys a good game of golf, hunting and fishing trips. He and his wife appreciate sharing time with friends and family including four grandchildren.
